Exhibition: Tantra Festival

Tantra, is an exhibition of versatile bohemian artist and poet, Papia Ghoshal, based in Czech Republic, London, and Bengal. She has explored various branches of Tantra and depicted them through her powerful paintings. Her works are usually the results of the exotic mingling of reality and mysticisms that take her audience way back to our ancient Indian Tantric roots. Her paintings have the world of her poems and songs, mostly inspired by the practice of the tantric Bauls and Fakirs of West Bengal and Bangladesh who practice Dehototto, the philosophy of the body. Papia Ghoshal curates an unusual but unique group exhibition of various artists from all over the world who are specializing in Tantra. Most of these artists are tantric practitioners themselves. The Tantra Festival will showcase films on this subject in the gallery downstairs.

Papia Ghoshal is a versatile fine artist, actor, poet, Baul singer, tantric practitioner, and has won several important international awards winner.

Works of artists like Prakash Karmakar, Helmut Thoma, Bijon Chowdhury, Melvyn King, Simon Carter, Richard Bagulley, Jan Mayer, Robert Lassenius, Martin Bradley and others will also be on display.
