Krishna's flute is the symbol of love. He mesmerised the people around him with the enchanting music and tunes. The flute is sometimes the source of love, sometimes creating jealousy and sometimes used as a weapon. It represents the human heart that is used by the almighty to play his tunes upon.
Dancing has been a passion with Bharatanatyam dancer Namita Bodaji. Namita pursued her passion since childhood. It was but natural that she took it up as her profession too. She learnt this glorious dance form from the illustrious gurus of Sri Rajarajeshwari Bharata Natya Kala Mandir, Guru G. Vasant Kumar.
Namita has received the title of "Singar Mani '' from the prestigious Sur Singar Samsad. Namita is also a yoga practitioner and a trained yoga teacher. She is one of the teachers on "Dance with Madhuri", Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit Nene's Online Dance Academy. Namita received the Women’s Excellence award in Delhi in 2017. Namita is a trained and certified yoga instructor. Her workshops have been featured in many festivals in India as well as abroad.
Namita Bodaji is the founder of Samskara Academy of Fine Arts, a non-profit organization that promotes Indian music and dance. This organization is devoted to the cause of nurturing talent, organizing seminars, festivals and producing thematic presentations. She led the spirituality of India Festival on Cape Cod, US wherein she gave lectures, conducted workshops, and performed too. Namita’s performances in India and abroad have won her many accolades from the audience as well as the critics. She has several prestigious performances to her credit in India as well as abroad. Namita has performed extensively abroad and to name a few of the performances- Rice University Houston, Cornell University Ithaca, Florida International University Miami, University of Houston, Texas A&M, Saltsjobad- Sweden, Temple of Fine Arts in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, India Cultural Centre in Zagreb, Croatia and so on.
