Anjana is a passionate Bharatanatyam dancer whose journey began at age 10 under the guidance of Guru Geetha Bali and Guru Smt. Narmada. Currently training with Guru Dr. Soundarya Srivatsa at Nartana Keertana Performing Arts in Bangalore, she has enhanced her skills through workshops, including those conducted by Guru Smt. Bragha Bessel. Anjana earned first class in Vidwat Bharatanatyam from the Karnataka Examination Board, showcasing her dedication and talent.
Her performance resume includes notable appearances at the Kinkini Dance Festival, where she presented the dance drama “Vikamorvaseeyam,” and international accolades, such as securing first prize at the Kawasaki International Dance Festival in Japan. Anjana has participated in numerous cultural celebrations, including Hampi Utsava, Maha Shivaratri, and the Mahagami Festival. In 2017, she performed a solo show, "Maatru Chaaya," honouring her mother.
Beyond performing, Anjana runs "KalaChetana," a center for imparting dance training to young minds. Professionally, she holds an MCA and works as a Japanese language facilitator and Relationship Manager at the Indo-Japanese Chamber of Commerce. At the Nehru Centre, she will present "Goplala Leelamrutha," a Bharatanatyam performance celebrating the magical childhood of Lord Krishna, inspired by renowned Kannada composers like Santa Purandaradasaru, Shri Vadirajaru, and Sri Kanaka Dasaru.
