Film Screening
The Nehru Centre is organizing film screening on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti.
(i) Screening of Panchteerth (Duration-13 minutes): The term "Panchteerth" was coined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to honor Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, highlighting five significant places associated with his life and legacy:
1. Janam Bhoomi – His birthplace in Mhow.
2. Sikhsha Bhoomi – The place where he studied in the UK.
3. Deeksha Bhoomi – The place in Nagpur where he embraced Buddhism.
4. Mahaparinirvan Sthal – The place of his demise in Delhi.
5. Chaitya Bhoomi – The cremation site in Mumbai.
(ii) Screening of a documentary film on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar (Duration-1 Hour 14 minutes), offering viewers a deeper insight into his life, his fight for social justice, and his enduring influence on India’s democratic foundations.
